icdp for scientists

.....outreach, training, knowledge transfer and capacity building

Geohazards such as earthquakes or landslides, active geodynamic processes under our feet, climate change and Earth´s valuable georesources are ICDP topics of high societal relevance and educational potential and should be visible to the public, to media and decision makers at all levels. Informing and involving the local public through public activities at any stage of planning and execution of drilling plays a critical role in the successful implementation of any continental scientific drilling project. We support principal investigators and project scientists with advice and assistance in the implementation of public outreach measures, training, and outreach to the scientific community.
